   Hello Friends: How are you? The city of Palma is very beautiful. It's got nice "modernistas" buildings. Do you know the Modernism style? It was very popular in Palma and in Barcelona, at the begining of the 1900s. You can see it in the book about Mallorca. Mallorca has got lovely nature too. BYE

   hi Alessio and Roberto. Mallorca is not very big. Palma is the capital and the biggest town on the island. It has got about 400.000 inhabitants. Then, there are some important villages. The biggest are: Inca (with leather factories and shoe factories. CAMPER is from Inca. Do you know camper?) and Manacor (with furniture factories).

   About Palma
   
   I think Palma is a fantastic city. It's in the south of Mallorca, in the Mediterranean sea. In summer, it's very hot and, in winter it's very cold in the mornings. The most popular buildings are: The Bellver Castle, Palma's Cathedral, the Baluard Museum and the Concert Hall in front of the port. There's a nice port with luxurious boats, yatchts and sailing boats. The beach of Palma is very very long and is marvellous because the water is very clean. Palma is a very nice city to live. COME HERE WHENEVER YOU WANT.

   S.Pietro and surroundings
   
   San Pietro is a small village in the north east of Italy. It is in a border zone between Slovinia and Italy. We study also Slovenian at school. In this area river Natisone flows.In summer we go to swim in its fresh water.This river flows through the Natisone Valleys, that are the most beautiful in the world,for us. Here many villages stand and here many students live. The most important mountain is Matajur. One side of this mountains is in Slovenia and one side is in Italy. It rises above the Natisone Valleys. In winter, but sometimes also in spring or autumn, its summit is covered with snow.In clear days you can see the sea from the top. The biggest town in this area is Cividale. It was founded by Romans and you can find Roman rests.

   Hello friends of Palma! It's Christmas! How do you celebrate Christmas? Here Father Christmas brings us the presents we have asked.Who brings presents to you? What have you asked? In Italy decorations are an important part of the Cristmas festival!Our houses are decorated with Christmas trees and other ornaments. We also prepare the crib. Bright ligts and trees decorate town centers and shops.
   We have a long holiday for Christmas,more than two weeks,from December the 23rd to January the 9th.We hope to have not too much homework.
   On Christmas Eve we wait midnight to open the presents. It's a very exciting evening for us.On Christmas day we celebrate with a delicious and long lunch with our relatives.We like this festival very much.It is one of the best festivals of the year.We hope it's the same for you.    Describing our school
   
   Our school is in Palma, in a narrow street called Bisbe Cabanelles. It's not very big.In fact, we've just got 9 levels (3, 4 & 5 year-old children and 6 primary levels). We start school at 9 o'clock and finish at 2 o'clock. Then we go home till the next day. The building has got a groundfloor and 3 more floors. The secretary, the staff-room, the playground and the headteacher's office are on the groundfloor. The 3,4 and 5 year-old classes and the sports hall are on the first floor. The primary classes, the music class and the video class are on the second floor. AND the English class, the support class, the art class and the library are on the third floor. Each floor has got toiletes for boys, girls and teachers. AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE'S NO A DINING HALL or a COMPUTER ROOM, although there are some computers in some classes. OUR SUBJECTS ARE: social science (science, history and geography), Catalan, Spanish, English, art, maths, music, religion (optional) and sports. Moreover, we have an extra hour called TUTORIA, with Cati, our class teacher, to solve our problems.

   Our school is big and beautiful.It has got nine classrooms,two computer rooms,one English classroom.We have a library colled blue room, becouse its walls are blue. There we watch films videos and slides. We have also a gym.There is a big playground with a volleball field and a basketball field.We start school at 8:10 and we finish at 4:10. We have lunch at 12:30 in the dining hall.The dining hall is very big and its walls are yellow. In front of the dining hall there is a long corridor. Its walls are yellow too and we have hung posters, drawns and photoes on them.
